A pair of military sisters just made history by achieving the rank of Army generals. Maj. Gen. Maria Barrett and Brig. Gen. Paula Lodi are believed to be the first sisters to achieve that rank in the Army's 244-year history.

The pair are the daughters of a WWII veteran father, and Lodi called their accomplishment "a huge illustration of how far we've come as a service".
