A new technological tool at The Palace of Auburn Hills helps fans find the shortest line for concessions and bathrooms.
The feature, provided by Detroit-based WaitTime, is integrated within the Detroit Pistons’ official app and displayed on 30 monitors outside of each seating section, Crain’s Detroit Business reports.
“Screens display wait times for nearby concessions and restrooms with gradient spectrums colored green, yellow and red based on real-time information monitoring,” Palace Sports & Entertainment said.
“WaitTime’s technology precisely identifies and counts the number of people in a given area and uses highly sophisticated artificial intelligence to determine whether they are passing through or waiting in line. WaitTime also provides detailed analytics that stadium operators can use to create efficiencies and provide fans better experiences.”
