Apparently tickets to tour Paisley Park were sold before getting approval from the Chanhassen, MI City Council for the facility to be rezoned as a museum. Concerns from residents about parking, etc. have caused the City Council to table the rezoning motion, throwing a huge wrench into the plans of Prince fans who bought tickets online.

According to sources, “Early Tuesday morning, ticket-buyers received an e-mail reading, ‘The Chanhassen, Minnesota City Council voted late yesterday to table the measure which would have permitted Paisley Park to open as a museum starting this Thursday, October 6. We will email you with updates very soon.'”

Paisley Park put out a press release late on Tuesday that reads “For guests who have tickets for October 7, 9, 10, 11, 12,13 and 15, we will accommodate as many as possible on October 6, 8, and 14 and provide refunds for their original dates.”

The press release also said that they are working with the Mall of America on an exhibit of Prince artifacts and wardrobe and it will be available to all ticket holders.
