Don Henley: Playing Meadowbrook Saturday Now Carrying The Eagles’ Torch

Author: Jim Johnson

Tune in during the 1 O’Clock hour of my show today, on 104.3 WOMC,  to win tix for the show Saturday night at the Meadowbrook Music Festival.

Don Henley feels that with the loss of Glenn Frey, it’s up to him to keep the pair’s Eagles songs alive. Frey died on January 18th in New York City at age 67 due to complications from Rheumatoid Arthritis, Acute Ulcerative Colitis, and Pneumonia.

Henley, who’s currently on tout supporting his latest solo hit album, Cass County, told The Oakland Press that he’s still dealing with the loss of Frey, admitting, “I’m still processing it, and I will be for quite some time. I think about him every day, and I think about his family and his kids and wife. They’re doing OK. We all check on them quite often, and everybody’s getting through it.”
