With the fall semester drawing near and educational attainment having a strong connection to income level, WalletHub conducted an in-depth analysis of 2016’s Most & Least Educated Cities.
In order to locate where the most educated Americans are choosing to settle, the personal finance website’s analysts compared the 150 largest U.S. metropolitan statistical areas across nine key metrics.
Their data set ranged from the percentage of adults aged 25 and older with at least a bachelor’s degree to the educational attainment gap between women and men.
Ann Arbor, MI topped the list with a score of 94.89, ranking highest in both “educational attainment” and “quality of education and attainment gap.”
Four other communities in Michigan landed on the list – here’s how they fared:
25. East Lansing, MI
77. Grand Rapids, MI
81. Detroit, MI
120. Flint, MI
