Watch out when you use an artists music without permission, especially you politicians. CNN Money reports that former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee owes Survivor $25,000 for using their song at a rally last year. The obvious song was “Eye of the Tiger,” and the money actuality goes to the bands guitarist Frankie Sullivan who was the co-writer and owns Rude Music.

Huckabee tried to avoid paying Sullivan by classifying the rally as a “religious assembly signifying joy and praise at the release of Mrs. Davis” from jail.” Davis is the lady from Kentucky who would not grant a gay couple a marriage license because of her religious beliefs. Since Huckabee filed the rally as a Presidential election expense, the religious assembly claim failed.
