American Idol ended last night and they brought out all the stops for the last episode. Every “Idol” winner in its 15-year history and a slew of contestants who hadn’t won returned to the show’s stage to perform one last time. From Kelly Clarkson to Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson, the alums performed several medleys, including a tribute to David Bowie and a classic rock performance.
Carrie Underwood showed up to duet with Keith Urban and cute little girl from New Orelans’ Ninth Ward turned up to sing “What a Wonderful World” alongside Harry Connick Jr. JLo reminded everyone how it’s done preforming her new song “Ain’t your mama”.
Trent Harmon was voted the winner of the final season and had an amazing performance too.
But, the best performance of the night?? Jessica Sanchez. She finished as runner-up in the final round of the eleventh season of American Idol (that’s the year Phillip Phillips won). Who says it was the best performance? Well, if you didn’t watch last night and relied on Twitter for updates, you may come to the conclusion that they crowned Sanchez with the award. She is pretty amazing. Click here to see her sing via Perez Hilton
