Former Rolling Stones bassist Bill Wyman has been diagnosed with prostate cancer. His spokesman says, “He is undergoing treatment and is expected to make a full recovery as it was caught in the early stages.”
The 79-year-old Wyman once told us he doesn’t “worry about health things.”
Bill Wyman on his lifestyle:
“I don’t do exercise, I smoke. I’m not a great food gourmet either. I just think of food as, you know, in the garage, fill up and get out, you know, like you do with a car. And I feel the same way about sleeping. I sleep when I’m tired. When I wake up I get up, you know, I don’t think I have to go to bed from 11 ’til eight. I’m that kind of person — I just do the necessary things.”
Wyman is the second member of the Stones to be afflicted with the C-word. Drummer Charlie Watts was diagnosed and successfully treated for throat cancer in 2005.
