Britney Spears may have something shorter in store for fans eagerly awaiting her next release. Rather than a full-length album, songwriter Esjay Jones reportedly hinted that the singer is working on an EP.
“#2016 Ecstatic to be working on the @britneyspears #EP with the #DreamTeam @Trey_Vittetoe #ginaschock #britneyspears,” Jones tweeted and then deleted, according to MTV.
DJ Mustard and other reported collaborators have leaked minimal information about Britney’s next project. The producer admitted he has a “super big hit” ready for her.
The pop star’s last two short-form albums were released in 2005: one remix project and another that coincided with her infamous reality show, Chaotic.
Even if Britney doesn’t have an LP in the works, an EP would give her a handful of singles to promote.
