How to be an official Weather Person!

If you’ve always had aspirations of being a weatherman, now is your chance!
The National Weather Service is looking to add to their 290,000 severe weather spotters! If you’re interested in becoming a weather spotter, they are offering a training course to the public. The class is free and about two hours longs. Training covers winter snowstorms, winter safety, how to measure snow fall and how to report snowfall, ice accumulation and other winter types of precipitation.

 

Class is held at 10 a.m. December 5th at the Macomb Intermediate School District, 44001 Garfield, on the main floor in room 100B. You must register, call Macomb County Office of Emergency Management at 586-469-5270, 8am-4pm.  Monday – Friday or email registration information to mcoem@macombgov.org
