Two of the albums not covered in the Van Morrison catalog deal announced earlier this week will get reissued on October 30th.
1968’s Astral Weeks and 1970’s His Band and the Street Choir have each been remastered. Astral Weeks will have four previously unreleased bonus tracks, while His Band will have five additional tracks. This means that the three albums still owned by Warner Brothers will have gotten upgrades in the past two years — a deluxe edition of Moondance was released in 2013.
So the only Morrison solo album to not get some sort of reissue lately is his debut, Blowin’ Your Mind, which contains “Brown-Eyed Girl.” That’s not surprising, since he disavowed it upon its release in 1967.
33 of Morrison’s solo albums will be reissued digitally on Friday.
