Lexys Lamp is a 5-year-old who was diagnosed on September 29 with DIPG, an inoperable, cancerous brain tumor with a 0% survival rate . She was given 9-12 months to live and has not been able to go back to school, so her teacher is going to her house to teach her as she loves learning.

Her family will not give up. Her mother is unable to work due to the high demands of Lexys’ care and her father works an overnight shift. Lexys is unable to pick up her head for more than a couple of seconds and she is unable to look at things straight on. She cannot feel her left hand/fingers/lower arm or leg. Overall, this is an extremely tough time for her family emotionally, mentally, and physically.

Lexys will turn 6 on August 27. She is requesting birthday cards to be sent to her because getting her own mail is her favorite part of the day. Her address is 1536 May St. Dearborn, MI 48124.

Her care is very costly, so if you can afford to do more than send a card here is a link to the GoFundMe page started by her teacher, Allyssa Kerby.
