Is it bad parenting to take your kid to certain concerts? UPI reports that is at least not the case for a concert by Pink. A dad felt that the mom of their eleven year old was exposed to some bad influences when she took their daughter to the concert. A judge sees different, “Each parent has a basic constitutional right and ability to exercise reasonable discretion on child related issues during his or her own parenting time, so long as such choices do not unreasonably compromise the child’s general health, safety and welfare.”
The daughter is a huge Pink fan, and this was her first concert. Maybe the is just some sort of angling between the parents that are no longer together. Judge Lawrence R. Jones adds, “When all the smoke from the custody litigation clears, it will be self-evident that all which happened here is that a young girl went to her first rock concert with her mother and had a really great time. In a great many of these circumstances, the dispute actually boils down to one parent, or sometimes each parent, attempting to micromanage how the other parent raises the child during his or her own parenting time.”
My parents never took me to a show, which I glad they didn’t. Who wants to go to a concert with their parents?
