David Crosby: Honest Answers to Hundreds Of Twitter Questions Plus Rare 1966 Byrds Track

Author: Jim Johnson

David Crosby has always put his money where his mouth is and yesterday (March 5th) he answered hundreds of fans questions on Twitter. One has to commend “Croz” for being as honest as he was — at one point he slammed Phish, only to come back and admit he’d never heard them, then listened to them and admitted that they really could play. He spoke candidly — albeit briefly — about his relationships with longtime friends Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and Jerry Garcia — along with his thoughts on David Gilmour, Bob Dylan, Kanye West, the Doors, punk rock — and so much more.

David Crosby said that these days he doesn’t enter into any aspect of his life — personally or professionally — without a great deal of soul searching: “I look at myself a lot, I made an awful amount of mistakes in my life, and I’ve done harm. And I’ve had to look at myself. I had a year in a prison cell to look at myself. A lot of time to think. So, I do think about what I do and why and what it means and if it’s significant, or not.”

Vintage Vinyl News weeded through the questions and posted some highlights:
