A Beatles’ Wednesday salute to George Harrison who would have turned 72 today (Wednesday) — or would he? He had always considered his birthday to be February 25th until 1992, when he decided that he preferred it to be the 24th because he was born a few minutes after midnight.
Apparently his wife Olivia is still going with the 25th, as she has posted on his website a rare video clip of him playing an impromptu version of the Traveling Wilburys song “Congratulations” during a shoot in 2000 for the 30th anniversary of All Things Must Pass on the lawn of his English estate, Friar Park.
Harrison died of cancer on November 29th, 2001. He was 58.
