On Minimation, we comb through the archives of legendary New York radio station WNEW-FM and animate interviews with legendary rock artists. In this archival interview, former Pink Floyd leader Roger Waters tells us it’s a small world, after all.

Roger Waters has long taken on the big issues. On Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here, it was forms of madness. On The Final Cut, it was war. On his solo album, Amused To Death, it was the effects of media on society. And in this interview, he discusses the very future of humanity.

After decrying the greed fostered by the free market, he said, “What you need to do—you in the North America and we in the Great Britain—is to say, ‘This is a small planet, and this is a small, weak star that is our sun, which is dimming slowly.”
