Van Morrison is the latest artist to commit to a high profile duets collection with the March 24th release of the aptly titled, Duets: Re-Working The Catalogue.Billboard reported that among the notables appearing on the set are the late Bobby Womack, Steve Winwood, Mark Knopfler, Natalie Cole, Mavis Staples, Simply Red‘s Mick Hucknall, and Taj Mahal. The album’s first single has been released, featuring Michael Buble on a new version of Morrison’s 1990 hit “Real Real Gone.”

Van Morrison was asked if albums are still relevant to him in the age of digital downloads: “They’re still relevant to me, because I’m not a download artist. Download is a very small percentage of what the people want (from) my product. It’s a very small percentage, so, it’s mainly CD’s and some vinyl. I just kind of go back. . . I just listen to the stuff that got me into it in the first place, y’know, the jazz, some blues. There’s nothing new, no.”

The tracklist to Van Morrison’s Duets: Re-Working The Catalogue is:

“Some Peace Of Mind” with Bobby Womack
“Lord, If I Ever Needed Someone” with Mavis Staples
“Higher Than The World” with George Benson
“Wild Honey” with Joss Stone
