Duff McKagan Prepping Advice Book Called ‘How to Be a Man’

Duff McKagan has done a lot of living in his tenure as Guns N’ Roses‘ and Velvet Revolver‘s bassist and, along the way, picked up a novel’s worth of life lessons.

So much so that he’s spent half a decade penning a column for Seattle Weekly, and now he’ll be taking one of those installments and expanding them into his next book, How to Be a Man (And Other Illusions).

The book deal with De Capo Press came to McKagan from working on his column, he said, as Blabbermouth points out.

“I had a column for the Seattle Weekly for five years, and there was one column that was called ‘How to Be a Man’, and it was kind of tongue in cheek; it was really tongue in cheek,” McKagan said. “And I got a book deal from that column.”
