Seen that old Folgers commercial? No, not that one. This one.

Apparently, Paul Stanley of KISS did a little bit of acting back in the day, particularly in an ad for Folgers about a decade and a half ago. Consequence of Sound points out the story is that Stanley appeared in the commercial, which was eventually shelved, around 2000.

Why? Reportedly, focus groups zeroed in on the “creepy” guy—that’s Stanley—and decided it just wasn’t going to work out and canceled its airing.

Sort of a shame, because at the very least, the ad’s fairly amusing. In comes Stanley, sans makeup, crooning a little number while two trapeze artists practice their craft at the circus.
