Michael Jackson‘s Thriller may be returning to the big screen — and with a brand new twist.

New York Daily News reports that the 14-minute music video will be revamped and rereleased next year. When it is, it’ll be presented in a new format: 3-D.

Director John Landis, who helmed the video, told the Daily News that the project was set in motion following a dispute with Jackson’s estate that is no longer an issue. Landis had sued over royalties from the clip.

“That lawsuit went on for so many years, (but) we settled and they paid me finally,” Landis said. “And so, actually there is something happening with Thriller.”

The current plan for the 3-D version is not yet nailed down, but Landis said it could involve a big screen release.
