Most of the country knows how to spell the word “respect” because of Aretha Franklin, but apparently President Obama isn’t one of them. While showing his respect for “women of soul” at a special all-star concert last night at the White House, the President paid tribute to the “Queen of Soul” but flubbed the spelling of her iconic hit saying “When Aretha first told us what R-S-P-E-C-T meant to her.” He left out an “E” and the audience thought it was hilarious. At least he didn’t Travoltify Aretha’s name.
