It looks like Christine McVie’s reunion with Fleetwood Mac might become permanent.
The fansite Fleetwood Mac News reports that on Saturday night in Maui, Hawaii, Mick Fleetwood performed an acoustic version of McVie’s “Songbird” with singer-guitarist Willie K. After the song, Fleetwood told the audience, “This is the worst-kept secret there is, but Christine McVie will be rejoining Fleetwood Mac!”
The band’s publicist, Liz Rosenberg, has confirmed that Christine has rejoined the band, 16 years after announcing her retirement. Rosenberg says that Christine “has indeed re-joined Fleetwood Mac and we are hoping to make an announcement about a possible tour for the full tilt Macsters some time in 2014.”
McVie rehearsed and played with them in London last year, and she and Stevie Nicks both gave interviews over the past month saying they would each welcome a full-time reunion. And before all this reunion talk, Fleetwood Mac was expected to go on another tour in 2014.
