So it looks like there’s enough room for The Faces and Small Faces in 2015.
Drummer Kenney Jones says that discussions are under way for a Faces reunion tour to fit in alongside plans to mark The Small Faces’ 50th anniversary. Jones tells “Billboard”, “We’ve been talking — [guitarist Ron Wood], management and myself, we were talking to Rod [Stewart’s] management.”
Stewart broke the reunion news last month, which ticked off keyboardist Ian McLagan because he hadn’t heard anything and was planning to focus on Small Faces events in 2015. Jones explains, “Mac didn’t realize we were talking because it was in its early stages. But he understands full now. [Stewart] probably presumed everyone knew we were doing it, so there was nothing intentional.”
The Faces re-formed for concerts and festival dates in 2010 and 2011, with Mick Hucknall on vocals after Stewart decided to not take part.
