Santana: Is There A “Santana 4” In Our Future?

Last week I reported how Journey guitarist Neal Schon is hopeful that the rehearsals he did in August with Carlos Santana and the members of the original Santana band will lead to an album and tour. In a perfect world, Schon said he would like to revisit the project over the first four months of 2014 before Journey hits the road in May. He may get his wish as Carlos told us on Saturday that his goal is to finish his new album, “Corazon”, which is set for release in the spring, and then devote himself “totally and absolutely” to what he is calling Santana 4 because “the original Santana stopped at three.”

Schon said “I do” for the fifth time last night as he married reality TV actress Michaele Salahi in San Francisco during a pay-per-view event. Carlos was hoping to make it back in time from Mexico, where he performed on Saturday, to attend the wedding.
