There was a nice moment at the end of the Detroit Lions 37-27 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday.

I played football at Central Michigan University back in the early ’70’s so I take some pride in the achievements of my fellow Chippewa players.  (Like CMU offensive tackle, Eric Fisher, being picked first overall in the 2013 NFL draft)

Another Central player, Antonio Brown, is an emerging star in the league for Pittsburgh.  Yesterday, both he and Detroit’s Calvin Johnson had a big day on the field.  Megatron had 6 catches for 179 yards and 2 touchdowns while Brown had 7 catches for 147 yards and also 2 scores.

The 2 receivers met on the field after the game and exchanged jerseys as a show of respect.  Earlier in the year Johnson also exchanged jerseys with Cincinnati wide receiver A. J. Green.
