Our beloved Tigers finished off the Oakland A’s last night in the Oakland Coliseum 3-0 It was the 5th and deciding game in the American League Divisional Series.  Now its off to Boston where the Tigers take on the Red Sox in the American League Championship Series to determine who will represent the American League in the 2013 World Series.  The Tigers are the reigning American League Champions.

Tiger fans have been using the term “Bless You Boys” since the late ’70’s when Channel 4 sportscaster Al Ackerman coined the term, sarcastically, when the Tigers weren’t winning much.  The slogan caught fire and was a mantra for the team in 1984 when they won the World Series.

WOMC’s Bobby & Stacey have created a new version of the classic reflecting the 2013 Detroit Tigers and the ALCS against Boston:

The Detroit Symphony Orchestra has also re-created the classic “Go Get ‘Em Tigers” along with the Detroit Children’s Choir:
