The Lone Ranger Rides Again……Tomorrow

The Lone Ranger first appeared in 1933, here in Detroit, as a fictional character in a radio serial on WXYZ.  It beame a TV series starring Clayton Moore as the Lone Ranger and Jay Silverheels as his faithful indian sidekick Tonto.  The television show ran from 1949 to 1957.

As I kid, The Lone Ranger was my favorite TV show.  Now I’m very excited to see it come to the big screen!  “The Lone Ranger” opens tomorrow across the country.  The reboot of the story of a Texas Ranger who becomes a vigilante, stars the little know Armie Hammer as the “masked man” and Johnny Depp as Tonto.  While the radio and tv series were always pure drama, the movie promises many moments of humor as well.
