Berry Gordy’s memoir will out Thursday as an E-book.
First published in 1994, “To Be Loved” is the basis of the hit Broadway show “Motown: The Musical”. But it’s been out of print for many years. Now, riding the coattails of the show’s success, it returns in digital form.
The book and show follow Gordy’s rise from auto worker and aspiring songwriter to founding the record label that launched the careers of such legends as Smokey Robinson, Diana Ross, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.
