McCartney starts the North American leg of his “Out There” tour on Saturday in Orlando, Florida.
Paul McCartney says “Silly Love Songs” brings back memories of the “Wings Over America tour.
“That really reminds me of the tour in ’76. When we started up, it was released at the beginning of the tour as a single. And people didn’t quite know it, they kind of liked it. And they stood up and danced to it. By the end of the tour, it had screamed up the charts and was like right at the top of the hit parade, so it was great having a real fresh number-one hit to be playing for the audience. So that song always reminds me of that tour, that American tour.”
