If you’re a Huey Lewis fan, were born in 1983, and come to his June 4th show at Freedom Hill Amphitheater in Sterling Heights, you’re in luck.

The Detroit News reports that as part of the celebration of his hit-filled album “Sports”, Lewis is letting fans born the same year the LP was released in for free. Fans who can take advantage of what Huey calls “Born in ’83, get in free” should call Freedom Hill Amphitheater’s box office (586-268-9700) and reserve a ticket that must be picked up the day of the show by showing valid ID with proof you were born in 1983.

So far, this seems to be a Detroit-only promotion. Fans in other cities, regardless of age, will apparently have to pay full price.

Huey Lewis and the News kick off their tour Friday night in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
