Huey Lewis and the News will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their most successful album with an expanded re-issue, TV appearances and an extensive tour.

“Sports”, which spun off four Top 10 hits — including “Heart and Soul” and “The Heart of Rock and Roll” — will be released May 14th by Capitol. The “30th Anniversary Edition” will also pair each of the nine studio recordings with live versions — many previously unreleased.

There’ll also be TV appearances by the band April 2nd on “Dancing with the Stars” and May 15th on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

Huey Lewis and the News will be on the road for three-and-a-half months, beginning with a May 10th show at the State Theater in New Brunswick, New Jersey.

The band will make an appearance in the Detroit area June 4th at the newly re-opened Freedom Hill Amphitheater in Sterling Heights.
