Chubby Checker has declared legal war on Hewlett-Packard and Palm for releasing an app called Chubby Checker.  Chubby Checker was a $0.99 app originally made for Palm OS (which was upgraded in 2009 in to WebOS). It allowed users to input the size of a male subject’s feet and receive an estimation of the size of the gentleman’s genitalia. For entertainment purposes only, of course.

Checker’s  lawyers issued a press release, in which they insist they are “preserving the integrity and legacy of a man who has spent years working hard at his musical craft and has earned the position of one of the greatest musical entertainers of all time.” Checker is demanding $500 million.

Here’s the thing: the $0.99 cent app was only downloaded 84 times and was removed in September 2012.  So, basically, no one would have even known about it if Chubby Checker hadn’t filed the lawsuit.
