I would have thought this was impossible, but two English blokes (don’t you just love my British slang, lovey?) have been banned from an all you can eat buffet restaurant for…wait for it…eating to much!
You can read the details here, but in a nutshell: The porky pair were booted from an all you can eat barbecue buffet for, quote, ‘being a couple of pigs’!
The manager said the two had bellied up to the troth for going on three years, and would only order the buffet. It’s about $20 to chow down, and chow they did! It wasn’t unusual for them to get 5 stir fry dishes each and water only. They’ve also never tipped.
I guess I see where he might think he’s being taken advantage of, but unless you spell out the conditions of eating at an ‘all you can eat’ buffet (ie; order a drink other than water), that’s just what people are going to do!
What’s your take? Should an all you can eat place be just that, or should there be limits?
