Lucky me. I’ve been a nail biter for years. Well, according to this story, it might be more than just a bad habit. It could actually be a straight up, flow blown mental disorder.
Just typing that makes me want to bite my nails.
I’m not sure when or why I started biting my fingernails, just that I’ve done it most of my life. Have I tried to quit? Not really. Other people have poked fun at me for always having a finger in my mouth, I tease right back that at least it shuts me up for a while.
Like a lot of us who feast on fingernails, it’s usually stress related. Here’s where it gets a little confusing and mental disorderly: When biting your nails stops being about stress, and you nibble at the nails because it’s stimulating….or something. Oh Lord, I am crazy!
