I think most of us love our cars. They takes us to work, take our kids to school, take us on vacation. It’s almost a part of the family. But can you imagine being so attached to those four wheels, that when it goes to that junkyard in the sky, you give it a funeral?

Me either!

It’s a different story for this New Yorker, whose 30-year-old Honda kicked the bucket (or tires, if you prefer) with 170,00 miles on the odometer. The car, who he and his neighbors called ‘Bluey’, even though the car hasn’t been blue since before the turn of the century, had become such a part of the community, it was given a grand send off, including a funeral procession loaded on a flatbed with a bouquet of flowers on the hood, and a wake at a local bar.

Cause of death, by the way: Traffic accident. Of course.

So, how long have you had your car, and would you give it a proper burial?
