Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez were reportedly leaving a shopping center when witnesses claim they saw Bieber rush from a van for a confrontation with a photographer who’d been taking photos of them.
Deputies were called to the scene but Bieber and Gomez left before they arrived. The photographer said Bieber “physically battered” him. He was treated and then released from an area hospital.
However, several witnesses say that after the altercation a lawyer walked up to the photographer and suggested that he could get a lot of money out of the incident and advised him to call for an ambulance and file a police report. The witnesses also say that the photographer had been blocking Justin’s car as the singer was trying to leave. Justin got out of the car and asked the guy to move away but he wouldn’t, and a scuffle ensued.
Investigators want to talk to Bieber to get his side of the story, but he has tweeted that he is off to Europe for a series of “Surprise Concerts.”
Even if the photographer did block Justin’s car in, as some witnesses say, was it OK for Justin to supposedly physically confront him? What if the photographer is faking his injuries? What level of confrontation is acceptable? And should Justin have left the country before he talked to police?
I’d like to see Justin behaving a little better. He’s still a role model for kids, even though he’s “legally” an adult now, and the kids buying his music are getting the money from their parents – who should not be putting up with his shenanigans.Comments
