Eddie Money swung by the 104.3 WOMC studios in Detroit to speak with Jim Johnson!

WOMC’s JJ asked Eddie questions submitted by our listeners and Eddie happily obliged!  Eddie confessed if a biopic was made about his life he’d want his son to play the part, though he did say Justin Bieber would be a great second choice.  JJ and Eddie spun some Motown records before they got around to the topic of back up singers.

Money said “When I had Ronnie Spector singing “Take Me Home Tonight” she was amazing… I talk to her all the time she’s such a sweet heart. She got into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the first thing she did was thank me and I said what a doll. By the time I get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame I’m going to be an urn on my wife’s fireplace. They forgot all about me.

He added “She said that Phil Spector use to take a shower with his wig on. Thinking when they first got married like she didn’t know he was bald. Wanna talk about a dysfunctional marriage? There was a rumor going on around L.A. if Phil Spector asked you out for a shot and a beer don’t go!”

Eddie Money gave one of his Detroit listeners the chance of a lifetime! Listener, Jamie Meredith, from Harper Woods, nailed an audition and had the chance to sing “Two Ticket To Paradise” live with Money on air!

Money also sang “One More Soldier Coming Home” which he wrote to honor the sacrifices of U.S. troops.
