Labelle’s “Lady Marmalade” was the #1 song in the country this week in 1975.  The song is most famous for its sexually suggestive chorus of ,”voulez-vous coucher avec moi (ce soir)?” which translates into English as “do you want to go to bed with me (tonight)?”  The song also reached #1 again 26 years later in 2001 with a version by Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim, Mya and Pink.  Here’s a 1975 performance of the song.
