What do you get when you take Blake Shelton and Lionel Richie, two heterosexual men, and have them sing a romantic duet onstage?

Shelton and Richie performed “You Are” at the 2012 ACM Awards but somehow Shelton kept forgetting that he was singing with another dude!

Early in the song Shelton turns toward  Richie at the most awkward moment.  Richie gestures his disapproval and hilarity ensues. The remainder of the song Richie does his best to look natural and not lock eyes with Shelton while Shelton continues to turn toward Richie at the strangest moments.  It took most of the song for the two men to figure out to sing to the audience and only look at the other when not singing. Their voices sound great if you can hear it over your own laughter!

“You Are”  is a track off of Richie’s new Tuskegee album featuring duets with country stars.
