What do Jim Croce, Rod Stewart and Pat Benatar have in common? They were all born on January 10th!

Jim Croce was born in Philadelphia in1943. Perhaps the best singer-songwriter of his time, Croce died in a plane crash with four others at the age of 30  on September 20, 1973. He left  behind a wife, a son and five beautiful studio albums.  It’s hard not to yearn for all the music Croce never wrote.

[photogallerylink id=75285 align=right] Pat Benatar was born as Patricia Mae Andrzejewski on January 10, 1953 in Brooklyn. Benatar was working as a bank teller in 1973 when a Liza Minnelli concert inspired her to quit her job and pursue a musical career. Thank goodness she did or else we’d never have the pleasure of hits like “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and “Heartbreaker!” Happy Birthday Pat!
