Once again this year the Salvation Army is reaching out for bell ringer volunteers in Metro Detroit this holiday season. Their campaign begins this year on November 11th.

The Salvation Army is seeking bell ringers for the annual Red Kettle campaign. This year the kettles go out on November 11th and they will remain active through December 24th.

The Army hopes to place at least 400 kettles throughout Metro Detroit if enough volunteers step up to the plate.

Among participating merchants this year are Kroger, Wallmart, Hillers, JC Penney, Walgreens, Aco Hardware and Sam’s Club. This year’s kettle goal is 8.2 million dollars.

The kettles will see action Monday through Saturday but not Sunday. If you’d like to volunteer, they have set up a special website with complete details.
