Our good friends at the American Red Cross of Southeastern Michigan are staging another blood drive. This one is today and tomorrow in Troy.
If you joined WOMC at the annual Palace Red Cross blood donation event just the other day, we thank you very much. If you didn’t give blood at the Palace, now’s your chance to do it in Troy.
The American Red Cross of Southeastern Michigan will be in Troy at the Community Affairs office at City Hall from 9am-3pm both today and tomorrow. You can make an appointment on line at redcrossblood.org using the access code “troy” although walk-ins are also more than welcome.
To donate you must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds and be in generally good health. Please be sure to bring a photo ID with you or your Red Cross blood donor card.
If you’re on the fence on whether to make that trip today or not consider this. For each donation you make you could save three lives. Donating blood is safe and virtually painless.
