[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Keith Moon[/lastfm], legendary drummer for [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Who[/lastfm], would have been 65 today. Here he is blowing up his drum kit on live TV. Nice!

The late great [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Keith Moon[/lastfm] wasn’t nicknamed “Moon The Loon” for nothing! A little on the wild side was Keith. No suprise he didn’t make it to 65. Remember, this is the dude who, legend has it, drove a Cadillac into the Holiday Inn pool in Flint (Which got [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Who[/lastfm] banned from Flint for life hahaha!).

He also loved to blow things up. His 2 favorite things seemed to be toilets…and his drums at the end of a performance. [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Who[/lastfm] did ‘My Generation’ on the Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, and were going to end the song with the classic smashing of their instruments and blowing things up. But, Keith decided to go out with a bang on live TV, and put 10 times the gun power in the drums that [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Who[/lastfm] normally used! It didn’t end well..check out the video.

Happy Birthday Keith!
