George Harrison’s ‘Concert for Bangladesh’ – Relive The Original Benefit Concert

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]George Harrison[/lastfm]’s ‘Concert for Bangladesh’ took place 40 years ago on August 1.

One of the first major charity concerts, the Concert for Bangladesh, which was put together by George Harrison and Ravi Shankar and featured artists like Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Leon Russell and Ringo Starr among others. It was the first time Harrison played live since the Beatles broke up.

Funds from the concert went to UNICEF. DVD and CD sales continue to benefit the George Harrison Fund for UNICEF.
