The Oakland County Fair kicks off today in Davisburg. Fun for the entire family today through July 17th.
All the ususal suspects will be there including a big midway, critters including 4-H competition and of course the food. You can feast on everything from Elephant Ears to Corn Dogs to Cotton Candy.
Demolition derbies will be held. It’s always fun to see cars getting all smashed up. There will also be rodeo competition, monster trucks and the always popular miracle of birth tent. The now defunct Michigan State Fair made that exhibit wildly popular. You’ll be able to see piglets, cows, donkeys and sheep babies come into the world. And this caught my attention. They’re even going to stage minnow races. That ought to be interesting.
Admission is $10 per car including parking. Walk-ups are $4 each. Check their website for discount coupons and hours.
