[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Beatles[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bob Dylan [/lastfm]made the list, but so did [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Justin Timberlake[/lastfm] and (yikes!) [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] Amy Winehouse[/lastfm].

You know how these “Greatest Hits” lists go, no one is ever completely satisfied (Is ‘I Can’t Get No Satisfaction’ on the list? You bet!) But Rolling Stone did a decent job with this one. They recently updated the list, which originally came out last year to reflect some of the artists who have had an impact in the 21st century, like Timberlake, Winehouse, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The White Stripes [/lastfm]and so on.

I will say, I think they nailed the top 8. Do I agree with the choice at #1? Wellllll…like I said, not everybody is ever satisfied! Lets just say I’m not surprised Rolling Stone magazine picked it for #1!
