[photogallerylink id=31603 align=right] Neil Young toured with The International Harvesters from 1984 to ’85 and recorded a live album on the tour.  The twelve-track album called A Treasure features five previously unheard tunes and will be made available this summer with a tie-in Blu-ray chock-full of live corresponding video.

While Neil Young & The International Harvesters were performing in ’84, Young was on tour without the support of a new record or his contentious record label.  Young’s ’83 album Everybody’s Rockin’ was 25 minutes long and comprised of half-a-dozen rockabilly cover songs.  Label head David Geffen criticized the album for its lack of commercial appeal and sued Young for making music “unrepresentative” of himself.

Neil Young & The International Harvesters’ mid-80s live record A Treasure will drop June 14.
