2011 Grammy nominee, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Neil Young[/lastfm], will be honored at Canada’s Juno Awards this year with a Humanitarian Award. [photogallerylink id=31603 align=right]

According to Spinner, Young was selected, primarily,  for his work in founding the Farm Aid concert series in 1985 with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Willie Nelson[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]John Mellencamp[/lastfm].

Young and his wife also created the Bridge School, which educates students who struggle with severe speech and physical impairments.

The Juno Awards will be held March 27.
