Unverified rumors are swirling that [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Roger Waters [/lastfm]may release “The Wall” tour on DVD.

From what I can derive it all started with a blog post on rogerwaterstours.com, an unofficial fan site.  The author analyzed a recent Illinois Times interview with the band [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Venice[/lastfm] in which  band member Michael Lennon stated “Roger Waters was in my living room drinking Coronas while we watched a DVD of the first Wall tour.”

Thus, the rogerwaterstours.com blogger is jumping to conclusions that a DVD of the most recent Wall tour will be released.  It’s  really not a big assumption when, according to the DailyMail, the 2010/2011 tour cost $60 million to stage.

The first Wall tour (Pink Floyd’s) took place during 1980 and 1981. According to Rueters the 80-man crew and props cost a mere $1 million.  The footage was never released on video due to poor video quality.
