[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Crosby, Stills & Nash[/lastfm] have been working hard on a cover album but apparently, producer Rick Rubin and Columbia Records haven’t been working hard enough for Crosby, Stills and Nash.

Express.co.uk reports that a statement from CSN reads, “We have amicably parted ways with both Rick Rubin and Columbia.”

No details about the split have been revealed but  insiders suggest the band is growing tired of waiting for Rubin to complete other projects including [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kid Rock[/lastfm]’s new album

Fans will have to be patient as the latest CSN album has been in the works for quite some time now.  In 2009, David Crosby told Spinner that the band had been working on songs like [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]James Taylor[/lastfm]’s “You Can Close Your Eyes,” [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Grateful Dead[/lastfm]’s “Uncle John’s Band” and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Bob Dylan[/lastfm]’s “Lady of the North Country.”
Sounds like a cover album worth waiting for!
